Michael makes a surprise visit to students and teacher Vania Zaharieva-Alexiev from Burnaby South Secondary School's RATV program.

 A diminutive Mountie with an enormous heart got a musical ride of his own when he was serenaded by Michael J. Fox on his birthday.

Casey Wright, Burnaby's honorary RCMP Staff Sergeant Major, was the honour guard for Fox last Friday at the opening ceremonies of the Michael J. Fox Golf Tournament.

1993 - 2013 Michael J Fox Theatre Anniversary Year


On April 30th, 1993, the first Gala performance took place at the new “Theatre at Burnaby South”.  Ann Mortifee and Jabula headlined a premiere show to entertain and start the process of developing community spirit in this new venue.

2010 saw the passing of Keith Stainton, a long-serving, stalwart member of our Board of Directors.  A bench in the garden adjacent to the lobby Gallery has been dedicated to Keith's memory - a private dedication took place November 23rd.  Pictured are members of the extended Stainton family and the Michael J. Fox Theatre Board of Directors.

Lisa White is shown receiving a cheque from Operations Director Jim Dobbs.  This donation to Medecin Sans Frontieres for over $2000 supported "HEAR US NOW" - a fundraising event held February 6th, 2010 with proceeds going to charities working in Haiti.  Almost 40 performers presented their best in a wonderful variety show.  Many volunteers helped make the evening a smooth one, and the silent auction was a great success.
