FAQ's

How should I sell my tickets?

Your organization will determine which means of ticket distribution will best serve your event needs and organizational structure. Ticket sales may be handled internally by members of your organization, be made available at a variety of commercial outlets, or sold through commercial box office service.

The Michael J. Fox Theatre is able to print tickets for your event to meet any of the above distribution methods. We will print and supply standard stock tickets at no charge.

What is the theatre's capacity?

The Michael J. Fox Theatre has approval to nominally seat 613 persons in the auditorium portion of the facility. Operations policy, however, requires the setting aside of four seats for usher staff. This reduces the actual capacity to 609. On the other hand, up to 4 wheelchair patrons and their companions may be seated in Row “G' raising the level back to a capacity of 613. Please confirm the actual capacity for your event with Operations staff prior to issuing tickets.

Your event may require some seats to be taken out of service to facilitate production purposes. For example, a sound-mixing console or other equipment may need to be located within the audience area, thereby disabling a group of seats, or seats must be “killed” to accommodate video production equipment. Temporary seats may at the discretion of Operations staff, be installed in Row “G” (the central aisle) to compensate for these losses.

Please note that fire and insurance regulations state that the Michael J. Fox Theatre cannot make additional seats available to you simply because you have over-sold the event, or wish to accommodate late arrivals. Note that all patrons must be seated in the chairs provided. Persons sitting on the stair or in walkways will be asked to return to their seats. If it is still obvious that there are too many people in the auditorium, the event will be halted and all standees removed at your expense.
