What happens if the theatre does not have the equipment I require?

The Theatre can rent equipment on your behalf, and then invoice you for that rental. This generally covers specialized production items such as wireless microphones and other sound equipment, additional lighting fixtures, lighting equipment such as Trackspots or Intellabearns, and stage equipment such as smoke machines, foggers or hazers, risers, flats, scenery, props, etc.

The Theatre will be happy to arrange for delivery, installment, removal and return of any additional equipment that is required if you wish. You will be billed for the supplier's invoiced amount plus a 15% service/ administration charge. This additional fee covers our costs for the extra time, effort and short-term credit involved.

This service practise in no way limits your ability to rent equipment and purchase supplies from other sources. If doing so, please remember to make all necessary arrangements for an appropriate delivery time, timely removal and to make direct payment to the supplier.

Please ensure that you have discussed your production needs and schedule with the Technical Director well in advance of your presentation.

What are my concession and catering options?

The Michael J. Fox Theatre provides modern, fully staffed concession services for pre-show and intermissions at all public events. We are further pleased to be able to offer this service at no charge to our presenting clients.

Our regular refreshment service includes non-hosted sales of hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate…), cold drinks (a variety of soft drinks, juices, athletic drinks, vitamin-enhanced and premium bottled water), an assortment of chocolate bars and other packaged sweets, chips, cookies, and high-quality fresh baked muffins and cakes.

During the popular spring dance festival season, we also offer gourmet sandwiches, fresh fruit, salads, soups and a larger assortment of baked items.

We believe in high standards in all of our service areas, whether Front of House or Production… and it is our goal that by providing consistent, tasteful refreshment service, all of our guests will enjoy an enhanced Theatre experience.
